Custom Golf Driver

In the golf industry, drivers in particular are extremely customizable and adjustable. When it comes to a Custom golf driver, working with the a well rounded club fitter and builder will make sure your driver is how you want it!

How much more fun do you have playing golf when your drives end up in the fairway? During a round of golf the average player uses their driver on 12-13 holes. In the golf industry, drivers in particular are extremely customizable and adjustable. When it comes to a Custom gold driver, working with a fitter will get you the head adjustments, but what about the shaft?

A fitter may be able to give you a different shaft to try but you may have been closer to a better fit with the previous shaft. Shafts today are given labels like high launch/low spin, low launch/low spin, and everything in between. What this describes to a fitter and a club builder is the different profiles of the shaft within the butt(grip), middle and tip(bottom) of the shaft. One of the tricks that a club builder can use that a fitter may not be able to use is called tipping a shaft. This means the builder will cut a section of the bottom part of the shaft to make it play slightly stiffer or cut nothing off the tip to allow the shaft to play slightly softer. This can bring the spin rate into a more efficient window and can tighten up dispersion.

Despite what the OEM’s want you to think, distance isn’t everything. Dispersion is equally as important. Dispersion is the area that you could hit your driver off of any given tee. If you have a tighter dispersion you will have a better understanding of where your ball is going to go. If you are not in the fairway how can you expect your scores to drop? By having your driver custom built you can find the fairway more often and get more enjoyment out of your round.
